WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The College of Charleston women’s basketball team is all set to travel to West Long Branch, N.J. to face off against Monmouth on Sunday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. The Charleston team is coming off a recent victory on Friday night at Hofstra, where they secured their tenth conference win of the season. This achievement marks the most CAA wins in program history in a single season for the Cougars.
Four Cougars hit double figures as Charleston sailed to an 88-59 triumph at Hofstra on Friday. The team has been on a winning streak, securing four consecutive victories and seven out of their last eight games. Jada Logan led the Cougars with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, showcasing her prowess on the court. This game marked her fifth instance of scoring 20 or more points this season and her 13th game in double figures.
In addition to Logan’s stellar performance, Taryn Barbot recorded her second double-double of the season. The freshman player contributed 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, along with four assists and three steals, demonstrating her versatility and impact on the game.
The Cougars will be seeking redemption against Monmouth, the only team this season to secure a victory inside TD arena. Their upcoming clash with Monmouth presents an opportunity for Charleston to avenge their previous conference play loss and showcase their growth and determination to emerge victorious.
