Plans are underway for a major investment and expansion project by TTS Studios, a North Charleston firm that produces technical designs and custom fabrications for New York theater and other high-profile clients. The Charleston County-based company expects to invest a total of $845,000 in its operations, expected to create 14 new jobs to cater to its growing demand.
Established in 2016, TTS Studios has gained a reputation for supporting and enhancing creative visions through its custom-designed and fabricated products, which resonate across the performing arts, premium events, and experiential marketing industries.
The company recently transferred operations to a newly acquired 67,000 square-foot site at 2130 N. Hobson Ave., located in the Navy Yard Industrial Campus, part of the Charleston Marine Manufacturing Corp’s facilities in North Charleston. This move signifies the company’s commitment to the local business community and positions it for an ambitious phase of growth.
In a recent press release, TTS Studios President Mike East expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming developments. He cited the company’s solid partnerships with Spoleto Festival USA, High Water, among other Charleston-based artists. The booming creative community, coupled with an expanded business model, enhances the company’s potential to grow within Charleston.
The company’s planned expansion has garnered attention and applause from local authorities. Charleston County Council Chairman Herbert Ravenel Sass III recognized TTS Studios’ innovative approach to technical design and fabrication which has attracted a diverse range of clients across the arts, entertainment, and experiential activation industries. He expressed his appreciation for the company’s commitment to innovation, which he believes is integral to their continued success in Charleston County.
The planned expansion and the accompanying investment will lead to job creation, with TTS Studios intending to create 14 new positions. This will significantly contribute to the local economy by providing job opportunities to residents. The company is already in the process of hiring staff to join their New York and Charleston teams to support the expansion efforts and strategic growth plans.
The considerable investment marks a significant milestone for TTS Studios, highlighting its success and commitment to the Charleston community. This expansion is seen as a testament to the company’s innovative strategies and the prevalent entrepreneurship spirit in the County, which promotes growth and prosperity.
The move by TTS Studios is a positive illustration of local companies choosing to invest and expand within Charleston County, thus contributing to the mutually beneficial relationship between the business community and the local economy.
