Train-Pedestrian Accident Reopens Road in North Charleston

A roadway in North Charleston, South Carolina, has been reopened, following a train-pedestrian incident that occurred Sunday afternoon. The North Charleston Police Department confirmed that all of Ashley Phosphate Road is now operational after the accident that resulted in injuries.

Injured Pedestrian

The pedestrian involved in the accident sustained injuries, however, at the moment, there are no known fatalities. This was confirmed by Harve Jacobs, the police spokesman, who was on the scene. The injured individual has been taken to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation and treatment.

Road Closure and Reopening

The incident led to the temporary closure of Ashley Phosphate Road but, according to North Charleston police, the road was later reopened. The closure was necessary to allow emergency responders and investigators to access the scene and ensure the safety of other road users.
