Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – SC Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) tied the knot with Mindy Noce, an interior designer from Charleston, in a ceremony on August 3. The announcement was made through the popular X social media platform, where they also shared precious moments from the wedding with their fans and well-wishers.
Senator Scott took to social media to state, “Tonight, we promised to cherish and nourish each other and our marriage for the rest of our lives. Mindy, you’ve made me the happiest man alive. I love you.”
The wedding seemed to be a gathering of noteworthy political figures, tales of which were reported by various news entities. The guest list included South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, and former Rep. Trey Gowdy of Spartanburg. Senator Scott, who became a key player from the Republican party in the 2024 presidential race, ran his campaign on the ideals of optimism and hope.
Having led a bachelor’s life for a significant period, Scott has been no stranger to speculations around his marital status. However, much to everyone’s delight, he proposed to Noce in January on Kiawah Island, announcing her affirmative response through a social media post, “She said YES. Mindy, thank you for making me the luckiest man in the world.”
Mindy Noce is currently employed as a design and renovations manager at Atlantic Properties of the Lowcountry. Hailing from Charleston, she completed her graduation from the College of Charleston, with a major in Health Science. For nearly 18 years, she has found home amidst the charm of the Isle of Palms and Daniel Island. At 47, Noce is a mother of three from a previous marriage.
A common friend from church introduced Scott and Noce to each other. The couple subsequently made their public debut during a Republican presidential primary debate in Miami, which sparked surprise amongst the attendees.
The couple chose to exchange vows at Mount Pleasant’s Seacoast Church, a megachurch with 13 campuses, which is also the home church of Senator Scott. Notable attendees of the church include U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace and former U.S. Rep. Joe Cunningham.
