Summerville-area Retail Center with 6 Restaurants Set to Open Soon
Summerville, South Carolina
More than a dozen tenants are preparing to open their doors at a new retail development near Summerville, set to feature six restaurants alongside several other businesses. The One Nexton commercial node on Nexton Parkway is nearing completion, with construction almost fully leased months before the official opening.
The anchor tenant at the One Nexton shopping center will be a 48,387-square-foot Publix supermarket. In addition to Publix, the development will welcome a mix of food-and-beverage establishments, including Catrina’s Cantina, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Woodhaven Pizza, Ruby’s Bagels, Naan Appetit Indian restaurant, and Dulce Churros, Ice Cream and Cocktails.
Other businesses that have secured space at the center include The Packie Wine & Spirits, Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Heartland Dental, Noire Nails, and Swamp Fox Agency. A workout site, Basecamp Fitness, and Fifth Third Bank will also be part of the new retail hub, situated across from a Harris Teeter-anchored commercial site that is currently under development.
Construction is well underway, and the new shopping center is expected to be completed by fall. The site is also home to the 351-unit Camellia One Nexton Apartments, which will be finalized around the same time.
New Venue to Bring Daiquiri Delights to Downtown Charleston
A new venue, Zachary’s Daiquiris, is set to open at 460 King Street in downtown Charleston. Owned by South Carolina entrepreneur Zachary Elliott, the bar will offer a variety of slushy sweet adult beverages in a fun and trendy setting, aiming to become Charleston’s go-to daiquiri destination.
The former Basil restaurant site has been renovated for the new establishment, with an anticipated spring opening. Elliott, who also has ties to Charleston’s Bourbon & Bubbles and other ventures, is looking forward to introducing this new concept to the community.
