South Carolina Brunch Restaurants Among Best in the Nation

South Carolina Brunch Restaurants Among Best in the Nation

South Carolina, home to historical monuments and beautiful beaches, has now added another feather to its cap. Four of the state’s restaurants have made it to the top 100 brunch spots in 2024 according to the review website Yelp. These eateries have been recognized nationwide for their distinctive and delicious brunch offerings.

Who Made It To The List?

Here are the South Carolina restaurants that earned the honor of being on the list of Top 100 Brunch Spots in 2024:

  • Drift in Myrtle Beach at No. 11
  • Blueberry’s Grill in North Myrtle Beach at No. 41
  • Millers All Day in Charleston at No. 57
  • Page’s Okra Grill in Mount Pleasant at No. 97

How The Rankings Were Compiled

The popular reviewing platform used a combination of factors to generate these rankings. They took into account restaurants in the U.S. with several reviews related to brunch and Mother’s Day and ranked them based on the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning those keywords in the past three years.

Why These Restaurants?

There is a unique aspect of each restaurant that brings in customers and generates positive reviews. The highest-ranked South Carolina restaurant, Drift, is located in Grande Dunes Marketplace in Myrtle Beach. It is hailed for its mouth-watering eggs Benedict and bananas foster French toast, described as a delicacy with butter-glazed bananas in caramel sauce, spiced rum, and whipped cream.

Blueberry’s Grill, another notable mention at no. 41, was praised on Yelp for its traditional brunch dishes as well as blueberry hush puppies. These are served warm with honey butter & blueberry compote for dipping. Although Blueberry’s Grill has three locations, the North Myrtle Beach one on U.S. Highway 17 bagged the spot on the national list.

Two iconic Charleston area eateries also appeared on the list. Millers All Day, renowned for its beloved fried chicken biscuits, and Page’s Okra Grill, known for its fan-favorite crab cake dishes, nailed spots no. 57 and 97 respectively. Both entities succeeded in winning the hearts of food admirers across the nation.

What’s Next?

The results were released ahead of Mother’s Day, a significant day for restaurants as it is one of the busiest times of the year. Yelp posted a reminder in its report that reservations for Mother’s Day had jumped 79% from the Sunday before the holiday in 2023. Hence, it urged customers to plan their brunch activities in advance to avoid last-minute disappointments.
