Get Ready for SEWE 2025: A Celebration of Wildlife and Art in Charleston!

Get Ready for SEWE 2025 in Charleston!

Charleston, get your calendars ready! The vibrant charm of downtown Charleston will be buzzing once again as the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) gears up for its 43rd annual showcase from February 14-16, 2025. This exciting event celebrates our beautiful wildlife and the great outdoors with a mix of fine art, live entertainment, and engaging activities that will delight attendees from near and far.

What to Expect

Attendees can look forward to a fantastic variety of attractions spread over five major exhibit sites in downtown Charleston. The venues include the Charleston Place, Brittlebank Park, Gaillard Center, Marion Square, and the newly revamped Charleston Marriott. This year, the Marriott is expanding its offerings, giving attendees an even larger selection of high-end exhibitors and enhanced programming.

One of the main highlights of SEWE is the wide array of returning favorites. The SEWE Fine Art Gallery is set to host live art demonstrations, while competitions like DockDogs® will have everyone cheering for jumping canines. There will also be exhibitions from the Center for Birds of Prey and live shows from the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. Plus, nature lovers can enjoy demonstrations of canines working through herding and retrieving tasks, and appetites will be satisfied with chef demos.

Spotlight on Featured Guests

This year’s event will see the eagerly awaited return of Forrest Galante, an acclaimed outdoor adventurer and wildlife biologist. He’ll be showcasing his incredible fieldwork, complete with live presentations featuring exotic animals, at the Gaillard Center. Galante, known for his exciting shows on the Discovery Channel, will share his experiences from rediscovering species once thought to be extinct.

New Additions to the Lineup

SEWE is continually looking to enhance your experience, and this year is no different. The popular Sporting Showroom at the Charleston Marriott is expanding! Attendees will have a chance to socialize while enjoying refreshments in the courtyard, and there will be a special Ducks Unlimited Auction too.

Also making a comeback is Lowcountry Lyrics, which had an overwhelming response last year. This intimate evening of musical storytelling promises captivating performances from renowned songwriters, including Grammy winners like Lori McKenna and Keith Stegall.

Special Features for 2025

Fans of art will enjoy the live art demonstrations at the SEWE Fine Art Gallery, including unique competitions like the Quick Draw Speed Sculpt & Auction. The ever-popular Mother Daughter Duo series will also return, showcasing talented pairs creating stunning artwork together. And for families, exciting educational activities will be coming to the kids’ areas in both Brittlebank Park and Marion Square, thanks to new partnerships with local organizations.

Tickets and Packages

Now, for the best part—tickets! General admission grants access to all SEWE venues, shows, and demonstrations. A newly introduced tiered ticketing system allows everyone to easily plan ahead. Kids 10 and under get in free, making this a fantastic family-friendly event!

VIP packages are also available for those looking to up the ante on their experience. VIP patrons enjoy perks like private art viewings, exclusive lounges, after-hour parties, and the convenience of priority entry to all events.

Dive into the Weekend!

SEWE 2025 promises an unforgettable weekend filled with wildlife celebrations, artistic showcases, and loads of fun. Whether you’re a fan of the outdoors, an art lover, or simply looking for a weekend adventure, there’s something special waiting for you in Charleston this February. To get ready, make your way to the official SEWE website for all the details, ticket options, and the full schedule of events.
