Seacoast Church in West Ashley Hosts NARCAN DRIVE THRU for Save-A-Life Day

Hey West Ashley! Exciting news for our community as Seacoast Church is gearing up to host a NARCAN DRIVE THRU event, part of the Save-A-Life Day on September 26th. This initiative, which began five years ago in West Virginia, was created in response to the growing overdose crisis many communities are facing. It’s heartening to know that this effort is expanding every year, with participation from over half the states in the country!

What’s Happening?

So, what can you expect at this drive-thru? The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Seacoast’s West Ashley location, which is conveniently located off Savannah Highway in Charleston. The best part is that it’s designed to be super easy for everyone. You won’t even have to leave your car! Just pull up, join the queue, and you’ll be on your way. How simple is that?

What’s Offered?

During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to collect Narcan Kits, Deterra medication disposal pouches, locking medication bottles, and much more. These items are incredibly important as they help combat the effects of opioid overdoses, making them crucial for households and individuals who may need them.

Need More Info? We Got You!

If you’re curious about how to use Narcan or just want to learn more about it, don’t worry! There will be additional pull-through spots available for anyone who requires Narcan training or has questions about this lifesaving medication. The dedicated staff will be there ready to help you understand how to effectively use Narcan, further empowering our community in the fight against substance abuse.

A Community Initiative

This drive-thru initiative is much more than just an event; it symbolizes our community’s effort to support one another. The overdose crisis affects everyone, and by coming together, we can make a significant difference. Simply being informed about the tools available can lead to saving lives, and that’s truly what the day is all about.

Join Us!

So why not spread the word? Whether you’re an individual looking to pick up some Narcan for your home, or you know someone who might benefit from this resource, mark your calendars for September 26th! Let’s drive through together and show our support for this important cause right here in West Ashley.

It’s all happening at Seacoast Church—don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this wonderful community effort. Remember, being prepared can make all the difference, and with events like these, together we can help reduce the number of overdoses and save lives!
