N. Charleston, S.C. – South Carolina Federal Credit Union proudly disclosed the names of the nine recipients of its 14th annual scholarship program yesterday. The scholarship program, which is set to award a total of $45,000 to deserving students for the fall 2024 semester, will support those attending a traditional or technical college in South Carolina.

The scholarship recipients were evaluated by three panels of judges who reviewed each student’s academic achievement, community involvement, letter of recommendation, and financial need. Apart from these criteria, applicants also had to submit an essay on how their education will enable them to contribute to their community and improve the lives of South Carolinians.
“Our 2024 scholarship winners have truly impressed us with their passion, drive, and commitment to excellence,” Scott Woods, President and CEO of South Carolina Federal said. He also expressed his anticipation of “witnessing their future successes” and reaffirmed the credit union’s support for each student on their educational journey.
Applications for South Carolina Federal Credit Union’s 2025 scholarship program are set to open in January next year.
