Psychic Medium Aims to Connect Charlestonians with the Deceased

Psychic Medium Fennell Aims to Connect Charlestonians with the Deceased

In the city of Charleston, Hailey Lowe Fennell is broadening the understanding of what it means to be a psychic medium. Known already as a spiritual presence in the City, Fennell demonstrates through her podcast “House Guest in the Holy City”, an aim to connect individuals with deceased loved ones.

Clearing Misconceptions Through Mediumship

Fennell initiated her podcast to break down the barriers of mediumship misconceptions. Explaining that engaging with a medium does not need to be a daunting or overly spiritual experience. Fennell argues that mediumship can be used as a tool for individuals coping with grief, offering guidance in future ventures. Rather than promoting fear, she believes that connecting with the other side, only instills feelings of peace and calm.

Fennell’s work aims to support individuals to establish their connections either with their lost loved ones, or with themselves, enabling them to advance their lives boldly.

The Power of Intuition

A central theme of the “House Guest” podcast is the notion that we all have the capability to connect with the “other side”. According to Fennell, this is achieved by honing our intuition and trusting our senses. She suggests that if a specific sign appears when you think of a deceased loved one, this sign holds a personal meaning and should be trusted.

The Journey to Mediumship

Fennell recalls having the ability to observe spirits and possessing a deeper knowledge from childhood. Born in Atlanta, she initially pursued a career as a sculptor at the University of Colorado Boulder before transitioning to apply her spiritual abilities professionally five years ago.

Connecting with Spirit

At the commencement of each podcast, Fennell asks her guests to visualize a bridge connecting their soul to hers. Relying on this spiritual connection, Fennell delivers messages from spirits that she perceives in familiar images and memories. She elaborates that this connection does not feature clear visions of the deceased but presents in a more abstract form.

The messages Fennell communicates from the “other side” apparently come from a place of complete self-forgiveness and understanding, providing a unique insight into experiences post-death.

Fennell herself stated, “[Being psychic] is almost like a game of trusting yourself. I feel like this is something that really, truly anybody can do.” She believes that we all have the ability, just that for some, like herself, are a little more open to these experiences.

Mediumship and the Community

Fennell’s podcast has not only attracted local creative professionals but has also led to episodes where listeners have recognized spirits of family members or friends. She sees her work as building bridges between the living and those who have passed on, aiming to be both a comfort and a spiritual guide to her listeners.
