CHARLESTON, S.C. – South Carolina high school state champion Jaxon Prunty has signed with the College of Charleston men’s basketball program head coach Chris Mack announced Wednesday.
“We are excited to announce the signing of incoming freshman Jaxon Prunty. Jaxon is a big guard blessed with the ability to pass the ball. He makes his teammates better and possesses an ability to score the ball as well,” said Mack.
Prunty was a member of the Lexington High School SCHSL Class 5-A Championship team this past March. He led the Wildcats with a team-high 23 points en route to the title. Additionally, he played for Team United out of Charlotte.
“Although a perimeter player, Jaxon knows how to post smaller match-ups and provides a versatility we value. The best thing about Jaxon, though, is his potential. We believe he’s still growing and when he hits our weight room every day with Coach Land there’s no telling what the future will bring,” Mack added.
With Prunty’s signing, College of Charleston fans can look forward to seeing this talented young player in action and witnessing his growth and development within the program under the guidance of Coach Mack and his staff.
