Legendary Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton is set to return to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on September 8, as he embarks on his “The Positively Thankful Tour.” Tickets will go on sale on Friday, June 28th via ticketmaster.com.
“It’s been an incredible year for me and my band so far,” shared Frampton. “First the nomination, then you guys voted like crazy and got me into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Come September, we’ll be back out for nine more shows on ‘The Positively Thankful Tour’! Can’t wait to see you then!” This tour announcement comes in spite of the musician’s farewell tour, which was launched over four years ago due to his diagnosis with the degenerative disease inclusion-body myositis.
Over the years, Frampton has established himself as one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. His 2007 album, Fingerprints, won him a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album, and in 2014, he was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. His accolades also include the prestigious Les Paul Innovation Award, which he received at the 2019 NAMM’s TEC Awards, and the 2024 Les Paul Spirit Award, which he was awarded at the Gibson Garage Nashville earlier this month.
In 2020, Frampton joined the Grammy Hall of Fame. The same year, his autobiography, “Do You Feel Like I Do?: A Memoir,” debuted on The New York Times Bestsellers list. He also appeared on Dolly Parton’s latest album, ‘Rockstar’, as the only artist featured on two tracks. In addition to these achievements, Frampton released Frampton@50 on Intervention Records. This numbered, limited-edition vinyl box set features Frampton’s essential 1972-1975 studio releases: ‘Wind of Change’, ‘Frampton’s Camel’, and ‘Frampton’.
Frampton was also honored with The Myositis Association’s Heroes in the Fight 2023 Patient Ambassador Award in September. He subsequently unveiled his historic performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall as a live album via UMe. With 48 years in the music scene, Frampton’s album ‘Frampton Comes Alive!’ remains one of the top-selling live records of all time, boasting over 17 million sales worldwide.
Frampton’s career is set to reach another milestone as he is lined up for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland this fall. Frampton’s dedication and contributions to rock and roll continue to be recognized and celebrated by institutions and fans across the globe.
Fans and music lovers are eagerly awaiting Frampton’s return to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Tickets for “The Positively Thankful Tour” are set to go on sale on Friday, June 28th. For more information on ticket availability, you can visit ticketmaster.com.
