Formerly the President of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), Dr. Solomon is noted for his active role in research and his involvement as an investigator for numerous FDA clinical trials. Accomplishing a world-first, Dr. Solomon was among the inaugural surgeons to conduct laser-assisted cataract surgery and the premier ophthalmologist in South Carolina to execute the all-laser LASIK and topography-guided LASIK.
Adding to his long list of accolades, Dr. Solomon has been consistently honored by Castle Connolly as a Top Doctor and recognized as a Top 250 Innovator by Premier Surgeon Magazine. He also frequently receives the title of “Best Laser Surgeon” from various local community award programs.
