Fun-Filled October Events Roll into Charleston!

Hey, Charleston! Are you ready for an action-packed October? Autumn is in full swing, and this month is bursting with exciting events that are sure to bring smiles and good vibes throughout the Holy City!

Sip, Shop, and Vibe at Park & Grove’s Fall Market!

First up, mark your calendars for Thursdays in October. Park & Grove will be transformed into a hub of local fun at their Fall Market. Picture this: relaxing live music, a vibrant outdoor bar, and an array of unique goods from some of our favorite local vendors! You’ll find everything from fabulous swimsuits at Siren Swim Co. to delicious treats from Butter Me Up Bakery. Local shops like Harbor Bee Boutique and Leni Designs are also in the mix, so you’re bound to discover something special. This Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., get ready to groove with tunes from the talented Danny May. And don’t forget, it’s a pet-friendly event! Bring your furry friends along and kick back on the patio.

Mimosa Mania at Johnson Hagood Stadium!

Next on the agenda is something for the adults! Join in for a fabulous Mimosa Festival this Saturday, October 12, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dive headfirst into a colorful assortment of mimosa flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re a classic orange juice fan or adventurous enough to try something new, there’s a sip waiting for you! The day promises unique drinks, live entertainment, and even a ceramic cup as a souvenir to remember the fun! But remember, this festival is for those 21 and up and bags must be clear when entering. Free bottled water will be available to keep you hydrated, with alcohol service wrapping up at 4:45 p.m.. Tickets are available for just $50 in advance or $65 at the door.

Bookworms Rejoice at the Fall Book Sale!

For all the book lovers out there, the Charleston Friends of the Library presents something you cannot miss: a Fall Book Sale at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library! On October 11 and 12, score some great bargains on a wide selection of books while supporting our local library’s programs across 18 branches in Charleston County. It’s an incredible opportunity to fill your shelves with some fantastic reads, and best of all, entry is free! Come by from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 11th and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the 12th.

Wag-O-Ween: A Howl of a Good Time!

Don’t let your pups miss out on the festivities! The annual Wag-O-Ween event is set for October 13, featuring a spooktacular costume contest for dogs! Get ready for a day filled with fun, fantastic prizes, and a meet-and-greet with Charleston’s brave K9 units and Mounted Patrol heroes. Registration starts at noon, with judging kicking off at 2 p.m.. Entry is only $35, and the proceeds help support local public safety initiatives. It doesn’t get cuter than pups dressed up for Halloween!

And that’s not all! The exciting month also brings renowned filmmaker Spike Lee to our very own Charleston Music Hall on October 15. This is your chance to witness the Academy Award winner as he shares insights into his vast art collection and the influences behind his iconic work. Doors open at 5 p.m., and ticket prices vary, so grab yours soon!
