North Charleston Vehicle Break-ins Under Investigation by Charleston Co. Deputies
In a recent unfortunate clash with criminal activities, the small city of North Charleston, South Carolina is under strife after a string of vehicle break-ins occurred on Monday night. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible.
Incidents in Detail
The sequence of vehicle break-ins transpired during the overnight hours of late Monday night and the early hours of Tuesday morning. The police received multiple reports of incidents including thefts, primarily centered at the 2200 block of Hayne Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deputies discovered not one, not two, but as many as ten vehicles that had been tampered with. The entry techniques used by the criminals varied as in some cases, cars were found unlocked and in others, the entry was forced.
The collective loss from the vehicles broken into, as reported by the victims, amounted approximately to $200. At this stage, it’s unclear if the burglars were after cash or if they were scavenging for valuables left in the vehicles.
