In a shocking incident, the North Charleston Police are investigating a shooting reportedly carried out at a fast-food restaurant named Cook Out. The episode unfolded on Dorchester Road, North Charleston, on a late Sunday night in July.
The police authorities are on an active lookout for the suspects who allegedly discharged their firearms into the premises of Cook Out. This incident occurred after the suspects had already paid for their food at the drive-through window, with the suspects reportedly starting a commotion about the lengthy wait time afterwards.
As per the victim’s statement to the police, the suspects made grave threats against them. After making payment for their order, the passenger, clothed in a black ski mask, unhurprisingly exited from a gold-colored sedan and began firing shots. As highlighted by the victim, the suspects subsequently navigated around the establishment, returned to the drive-through window, and menacingly pointed their weapon at the victim once more before speeding off.
Though authorities were alerted and arrived to the scene promptly, the damage was already done. However, in an unexpected turn of events, investigators could not find any bullet holes or damage on the property. Adding to the puzzling nature of the case, although the suspects had made payment for their meal, neither police nor on-site managers were successful in obtaining the card details linked to the transaction. The lack of accessible surveillance footage has also proven to be a setback in the case.
As part of their efforts to crack the case, the North Charleston Police Department has appealed to the public to assist with any information they may have about the incident. They can be reached at the 843-607-2076 helpline number.
This incident marks a concerning instance of gun violence within city limits. As police continue their search for the suspects, the citizens of North Charleston anxiously await more information regarding this case. In the meantime, authorities are ramping up measures to ensure public safety and are encouraging everyone to reach out with any pertinent details that might aid in their investigation.
The North Charleston Police are employing all resources at their disposal in an attempt to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. More updates on the investigation and subsequent actions are likely to follow in the coming days.
