North Charleston, S.C. – The North Charleston Police have released a surveillance image of a pickup truck suspected to be involved in a hit-and-run incident resulting in a cyclist’s tragic death last week.
The authorities reported that the fatal accident occurred on June 11, around 11:27 p.m., at the Northbridge area. The vehicle, described as the ‘vehicle of interest’, was reportedly heading towards West Ashley when it collided with a bicyclist and subsequently left the scene. The cyclist succumbed to injuries sustained during the collision, as confirmed by Police spokesperson Harve Jacobs.
Initial investigations by the North Charleston Police led to the identification of a 2019 to 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2500 pick-up as the implicated vehicle in the hit-and-run. The truck supposedly has significant front-end damage. Authorities are uncertain about the truck’s color.
The North Charleston Police are actively seeking the community’s aid to locate this vehicle and the person responsible for the tragic incident.
