At least one person has been apprehended following an armed robbery attempt in North Charleston, where the male victim reported being pistol whipped and robbed at gunpoint.

Abrupt Attack Unfolds in North Charleston Residence

According to verified sources, the notable incident transpired at a domicile situated on Stall Road in North Charleston. The local police were summoned to this location following an emergency call reporting an armed robbery. Upon their arrival, the officers found a male victim seated in his car, visibly wounded with a laceration observed above his left eyebrow.

The victim elucidated the horrifying scenario, stating that while he was seated in his vehicle on his driveway, he was approached by two masked men. The perpetrators flung open the car door and forcefully demanded money. The victim further reported that both assailants brandished handguns, which they pointed at him in a direct threat.

Suspects’ Failed Robbery Attempt

In their attempt to rob the victim, the culprits rifled through his wallet but failed to find any cash. Frustrated, they chose to brutalize the victim, striking him near his left eye with their pistols. Following the failed robbery and subsequent assault, the suspects hastily absconded from the scene.

Acknowledging the attackers, the victim informed the authorities that he was unsure of their origin, and suspected that one of the firearms they possessed might have been fake.

Suspect Jessie Maryann Carpenter taken into Custody

Jessie Maryann Carpenter, 30, was taken into custody on Thursday, facing charges that include two counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors, according to jail records. Alongside Carpenter, the incident report lists three juveniles as potential suspects in the case. Respecting the principles of confidentiality involving minors, the North Charleston Police Department has decided not to disclose their identities.
