New Medical Offices Open on Daniel Island and Cainhoy
The growing populations of Daniel Island and Cainhoy now have access to more medical services in their own neighborhoods, thanks to the opening of two new medical offices on June 3.
MUSC Children’s Health-Daniel Island
Located at 109 River Landing Drive, Suite 100-A, MUSC Children’s Health-Daniel Island offers primary care services for newborns through to patients aged 22 years. Their offerings include well-child visits, sports physicals, sick care, immunizations, developmental screenings, psychosocial services, and parent counseling, among other services. Appointments can be made both in-person and online, including video visits.
The office is headed by Dr. Jenny Nordby, a board-certified general pediatrician and longtime Daniel Island resident. She expresses excitement about the opportunity to serve children and families in the Daniel Island, Cainhoy, and surrounding areas. Notably, the addition of the appointment-based pediatrician’s office will greatly ease the difficulty parents have faced in finding quality pediatric care nearby for their children.
High Tide Internal Medicine Daniel Island
The High Tide Internal Medicine Daniel Island, on mainsite, works towards serving the community’s needs by providing comprehensive primary care for adults. This includes same-day and next-day appointments for sick patients or those with injuries, along with other amenities such as annual physicals, immunizations, treatment for minor skin conditions, and minor surgical care. Chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, allergies, high cholesterol, and cardiac conditions are also treated at the practice.
Headed by Dr. Jerry Back and assisted by physician’s assistant Stephen Hamm, the duo specializes in internal medicine, with Dr. Back carrying more than 35 years of rich clinical experience. Their aim is to infuse a sense of reliability to their patients, delivering quality healthcare services as close to home as possible.
Operation Timings
MUSC Children’s Health-Daniel Island operates on summer hours, providing patient appointments from Monday to Friday. High Tide Internal Medicine is open for appointments from Monday through Wednesday, and Friday.

MUSC Children’s Health-Daniel Island has announced that Dr. Ashley Perdue will be joining the practice this fall, expanding the pool of providers available to see patients.
