After two years with the team, McCall reflected on his time with the program and expressed gratitude for the opportunity. He mentioned that the decision to leave was based on pursuing other passions and keeping his family in Florida, which has become their home.
In a statement, McCall expressed his appreciation for the College of Charleston and his colleagues. He mentioned that although he loves the game of basketball, he has found a new passion in broadcasting and looks forward to continuing his career in that field.
Head coach Chris Mack also commented on McCall’s decision, understanding his desire to prioritize family over coaching at this stage of his life. Mack expressed well wishes for McCall’s future endeavors.
Following McCall’s departure, the College of Charleston has announced the appointment of a new assistant coach, Growe, to the men’s basketball program. Growe’s experience and expertise are expected to contribute positively to the team’s success.

The College of Charleston men’s basketball program is undergoing changes with McCall’s departure and the appointment of a new assistant coach. Despite the transitions, the team remains focused on success and growth, with upcoming events and opportunities to showcase their talent on a broader stage.
