Marbled & Fin Launched by The Neighborhood Dining Group in Downtown Charleston

The renowned Charleston-based hospitality organization, The Neighborhood Dining Group (NDG), has announced the grand opening of their latest dining innovation, Marbled & Fin. Successfully beginning operations on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, this stakes yet another claim in the thriving heart of downtown Charleston at 480 East Bay Street.

Taking an “ambitious approach to the traditional steakhouse,” the NDG has confidently planted its flag with another successful restaurant opening after their popular outlets like Husk, Delaney Oyster House, Minero, and The James. Now open seven days a week for dinner service, Marbled & Fin promises clientele an array of exquisite dining experiences.

President’s Ambition Beyond Traditional Steakhouse

David Howard, President of The Neighborhood Dining Group, expressed his excitement for this innovative venture. Reflecting on NDG’s two-decade-long history in downtown Charleston, Howard expressed gratitude toward the community for their continuous support over the years.

In his words, “Marbled & Fin has pushed us to think beyond what a traditional steakhouse can be, and our team is ready to showcase the passion (and fun!) we’ve poured into this concept.”

Marbled & Fin Menu Highlights

Marbled & Fin boasts a delectable menu encompassing dishes such as Caviar Tart with Lobster and Tarragon, Wagyu Fried Rice, an extensive raw bar with Cold and Hot Seafood Towers, and Sourdough Milk Bread, among others for starters.

The main course provides clients various selections of beef cuts that come with an array of sauce choices such as Armagnac Au Poivre and Mushroom Cognac. Beyond that, a host of sides and accompaniments like King Crab Oscar, Blue Cheese Gratinee, and an entire section devoted to elevated potato preparations stand ready to tantalize your taste buds.

The signature offering from the house, the Marbled & Fin, serves as a surf-and-turf for two. This deluxe platter includes a 28-oz Dry Aged Prime Porterhouse Steak, Whole Lobster, Robuchon Potato Purée, and Jumbo Asparagus.

Apart from the wide selection of beef, the menu also provides other delicacies including Ora King Salmon with Beurre Blanc and Smoked Roe, Ricotta Agnolotti, Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop with Granny Smith Apples.

To pair with their meals, patrons have a selection of over 250 labels of wine, rare single barrel bourbon wines, and rye whiskey offerings. The cocktail menu features drinks such as the ReCola Cooler and the Much Appreciated and the Catamaran Tan, distinctly made with a unique cocktail mixture.

Stylish Design and Capacity

Conceived and delivered by the Charleston-based design firm MB Within, the interior of Marbled and Fin encapsulates a mix of modern and contemporary features, custom furniture, sizable brass light fixtures, and an impressive greenery ensemble, including a wall of Birds of Paradise planted within the wood floors. The space is designed to accommodate 150 seats in the dining room, 26 bar seats, with more outdoor seating planned for the future.

While Marbled & Fin currently serves seven days a week for dinner, a brunch service is confirmed to be in the pipeline, to be announced at a later date. For those interested, reservations are currently available via Resy.
