In a tragic event on Friday morning in Ravenel, South Carolina, a man lost his life in a devastating single-vehicle crash. The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Timmy Lee Harley, a 40-year-old resident of Walterboro.

The Incident

The incident transpired in the early morning of Friday, in the 5100 block of Savannah Highway. Witnesses on the scene reported that the single-vehicle accident happened at around 7:20 a.m. As a result, the mishap blocked one lane of Savannah Highway between Highways 165 and 162 for approximately two-and-a-half hours, causing considerable disruption to the morning traffic in the area.

They reached the scene promptly and initiated their procedures to discern the circumstances leading to the tragic incident. Affects on Traffic

The unexpected incidence led to the closure of a lane of Savannah Highway. Notably, the Northbound lane between 165/162 in Ravenel had to be shut down to allow official investigations, leading to significant disruption in the commute in the area. However, it has since been reopened for regular traffic, as per the latest updates from the scene.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office was quick to alert the residents via social media about the situation and the potential traffic disruption it was causing.

While condolences for Harley’s family and friends pour in from across the community, local authorities appeal to residents to co-operate with law enforcement agencies as they continue their work around the crash site. They also urge all commuters to practice safe and responsible driving to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

An Unfortunate Recurrence
