Man Robs North Charleston Liquor Store

In a developing story, North Charleston police are actively investigating a burglary that occurred at Jay’s Liquor Store. According to the police department’s reports, a masked man dressed in black clothing robbed the store on Thursday afternoon.

Details of the Robbery

Located on the 8500 block of Rivers Avenue, Jay’s Liquor Store was the site of an armed robbery that took place sometime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday. The unidentified male suspect wore a complete black outfit, including black gloves and a mask, complemented with white and black tennis shoes. The perpetrator reportedly had a firearm visibly tucked in his front waistband. After scouting the store premises for a while, the suspect approached the cashier, placing a bag on the counter. The store employee was then instructed to fill the bag with cash from the register.

Police Investigation Underway

The North Charleston Police Department was immediately alerted about the robbery by the store clerk. After arriving at the scene, the investigating officials reviewed the surveillance footage captured by the store’s CCTVs. The video revealed a man draped in black clothing rushing away from the store before climbing into a blue Audi sedan.

Along with the cash, the suspect also fled the scene with multiple alcoholic beverages. As of now, the specific amount of cash and the value of the stolen liquor are yet to be determined.
