The Longevity Club Expands with Second Location in Kiawah Island

The Longevity Club, a locally owned fitness and wellness hub in downtown Charleston, is venturing forth with a second location

Located in the heart of downtown Charleston, The Longevity Club has long stood as a beacon of health and wellness, championing the benefits of an active lifestyle. Its founder and owner Jennie Brooks unveiled plans to extend this influence with the launch of a second location.

Expansion Plans

Situated in the prize location of Freshfields Village in Kiawah Island, this new establishment seeks to service the growing needs of the fitness enthusiasts in Kiawah, Seabrook and Johns Island communities and their visitors. Set for launch in late summer of 2024, the Kiawah branch will spread over a generous 1,600 square feet area.

What to Expect?

The new premises will house two studio spaces. One will be dedicated to reformer/tower classes and the other will accommodate private and semi-private sessions featuring a plethora of apparatus including reformers, trap table, chair, and barrels. The classes, designed to be highly interactive and intimate, will allow for a capacity of up to six participants. Additionally, they will be led by Balanced Body certified instructors whose training has been directed by Brooks.

Why the Second Location?

In response to the expansion, Brooks stated, “Expanding Longevity has always been part of my vision and I have kept my eye on the Kiawah area for years. With so much development happening on Johns Island and more residents making Kiawah and Seabrook islands their permanent home, the timing seemed right to move forward.”

Given the growing residential activity in the Kiawah and Seabrook islands, and the rise in population density on Johns Island, the expansion would not only help cater to a larger populace but also cover a wider geographic area. This strategic move promises to establish the Longevity Club’s dominance in the fitness industry by providing accessible and top-tier wellness facilities.

A Welcome Addition to the Freshfields Village Community

Beyond providing state-of-the-art fitness facilities, Brooks and her team plan on integrating with the local community and offering incentives. This echoes the approach of the original Longevity Club at 163 Rutledge Ave., which offers regular socials and workshops for its members.

In conclusion, the expanded presence of The Longevity Club promises to significantly enhance the fitness and wellness landscape of the region, welcoming locals and visitors alike to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
