NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Community Resource Center, the City of North Charleston, and SC Works are collaborating to host a job fair on Tuesday, April 16. The event will take place at City Hall in North Charleston on the third-floor Buist Room from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The job fair is specifically aimed at individuals between the ages of 17-24. Louis L. Smith, the Executive Director of Community Resource Centers, emphasized that national career certifications and tuition scholarships will be available. This presents a unique opportunity for young adults in the North Charleston area to kickstart their careers.
This initiative not only benefits the job seekers but also contributes to the overall community development. By connecting local youth with employment opportunities and educational resources, the event aims to foster a stronger, more resilient community in North Charleston.
In a related development, the Hendrick Automotive Group has recently donated $100,000 to the Lowcountry Food Bank, further demonstrating the commitment of local organizations to supporting and uplifting the community.
