The College of Charleston men’s basketball team is set to face off against Oregon State in the first round of the 2024 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. The tournament, featuring eight teams, will take place on December 22, 23, and 25 at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

This year marks the 15th edition of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, and the Cougars will be joined by teams such as Charlotte, Loyola Chicago, Murray State, Nebraska, Oakland, Oregon State, and tournament host Hawai’i.

Exciting Matchup

The matchup between Charleston and Oregon State is scheduled to air on ESPNU at 3:00 p.m. EST on December 22. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs, and it comes in the first year of the Chris Mack era at Charleston. The Cougars are positioned on the same side of the bracket as Loyola Chicago and Oakland.

Tournament Schedule

  • 10 a.m. – Oregon State vs. College of Charleston on ESPNU
  • 12 p.m. – Loyola Chicago vs. Oakland on ESPNU
