In the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, two prominent stars in the food and beverage industry have come together to present a splendid treat for ale enthusiasts. Home Team BBQ and Commonhouse Aleworks have collaborated to release a limited edition beer modeled after Home Team’s famous “Gamechanger” cocktail – the “Changegamer” cream ale.
The maiden rollout from the highly anticipated partnership will not only satiate taste buds, but also serve a noble cause. Proceeds from the Changegamer beer sales will contribute to Home Team’s annual Rock the Block fundraiser. The charity event is set to benefit two local organizations – Hogs for The Cause foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston.
Fans of Home Team’s Gamechanger cocktail can expect to find similar flavors in the Changegamer cream ale. Notes of orange, pineapple, and coconut, coupled with spices and lactose, create a unique and robust taste. The ale will be available at all Charleston-area Home Team restaurants and at the Commonhouse Aleworks flagship brewery in Park Circle.
The ale is distinguished by colorful co-branding, featuring festive block party graphics, making it not only distinctive in taste, but also appealing to the eye.
For Adam Rothstein, Director of Operations at Home Team BBQ, the collaboration with Commonhouse Aleworks aligns with both companies’ dedication to bringing about community impact. He remarked that the Changegamer is just the beginning of the partnership’s productive journey, hinting at further collaborations to come.
Echoing a similar sentiment, Pearce Fleming, Proprietor of Commonhouse Aleworks, acknowledged the pleasure of collaborating with Home Team CBD, expressing the pride he felt in brewing for purposeful causes.
To further celebrate this fruitful partnership and serve the Charleston community, Home Team is hosting their annual Rock the Block fundraising event. Set to take place at their Downtown Charleston location, attendees can enjoy musical performances, an award-winning guest chef lineup, beers and craft cocktails and a VIP lounge.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 24, and the limited edition Changegamer ale will be available for the duration.
Prior to this latest venture, Home Team Chief Operating Partner, Aaron Siegel, and Fleming have partnered before, producing Home Team’s signature house draft, “Standard Operating Beer.”
The combined efforts of Home Team BBQ and Commonhouse Aleworks to serve their community is laudable, creating an atmosphere that not only serves excellent food and beverages, but also fosters unity and goodwill. With the release of Changegamer, they’ve demonstrated a commitment to both flavor and philanthropy, filling glasses and hearts alike in Charleston.
