For the third year in a row, Charleston’s outdoor ice-skating rink has returned, transforming the waterfront into a magical Winter Wonderland experience that promises fun for all ages.
When and Where:
The rink officially opens its frosty gates on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, and will be welcoming skaters until January 20. Located at The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina, visitors can lace up their skates and glide beneath twinkling lights as the scent of pine fills the air.

What’s a day of ice skating without some scrumptious treats? While you’re out there showing off your best moves—or perhaps just trying to stay on your feet—you can warm up with a cozy cup of hot cocoa? If you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t miss out on the gourmet s’mores kits that you can roast over nearby fire pits. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the chilly weather!
Fun Activities to Enjoy:
In addition to skating, this year’s festivities feature a variety of side activities that will surely become new family traditions. Don’t miss the chance to participate in the popular Skate with Santa sessions, where little ones can meet the man in red himself! And for those with a creative streak, there’s the gingerbread house-building activity where families can put their artistry to the test with icing and candy galore!
New Experiences to Explore:
Adding a unique twist to this year’s offerings, visitors now have the chance to rent a gondola harborside. Imagine sailing along the sparkling waters while soaking up the enchanting views of the harbor, all while getting into the holiday spirit. Oysters on the Point:
The excitement doesn’t stop there! Kicking off on December 14, the resort will also launch its wintertime Oysters on the Point series. This event runs from 2 PM to 6 PM and features live music from Dallas Baker and Friends. Enjoy an afternoon filled with succulent steamed oysters, refreshing beverages, and a front-row seat to the annual holiday parade!
