The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC is calling for abstract submissions for its 2024 Global Health Week. The annual event assembles health professionals, researchers, and students from diverse disciplines to exchange ideas and discuss solutions to global health challenges.
The MUSC Center for Global Health invites students, faculty, researchers, and global health practitioners to submit abstracts summarizing their research, projects, or programmatic interventions on various aspects of global health. The submission deadline is a few months away, giving interested parties ample time to prepare. Posters selected from the abstracts will be exhibited at the Global Health Week, where presenting authors will have the opportunity to discuss their work with attendees.
Abstracts must follow the designated guidelines:
The primary author is required to attend the event and present the poster. Relationships between the work conducted and outcomes related to global health must be clearly established.
All submissions will be scrutinized by an appointed committee. The committee will base their judgment on originality, presentation, relevance to global health, quality, and clarity of the abstract.
If an abstract is accepted, the authors will be notified by March 29 and detailed instructions for poster preparation will be provided. MUSC expects this event to advance our understanding of global health issues and foster multidisciplinary collaborations.
