Former Fort Dorchester RB accused of attempted murder after shootout | WCBD News 2

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Former Football Star Arrested

A former star running back for Fort Dorchester High School, Davian Brown, has been arrested by North Charleston Police on June 13. Brown, 18, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and is currently held at the Al Cannon Detention Center without bond. Another 17-year-old suspect has also been arrested in connection to the incident.

Shootout at Tacos Los Primos

The arrests came after a shootout incident at Tacos Los Primos in North Charleston on June 10. According to reports, two vehicles were seen shooting at each other in the parking lot before fleeing the scene. Witnesses described a black SUV and a grey sedan firing shots back and forth in front of a nearby business. The confrontation escalated as the vehicles chased each other down Rivers Avenue.

Gunshot Wound Victims

Police arrived at the scene to find evidence of multiple shots being fired, including 21 spent shell casings. Following the incident, it was reported that a 17-year-old male had been shot in the shoulder and an 18-year-old male had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The 18-year-old was taken to the hospital for treatment while the 17-year-old sought medical attention at Roper Northwoods.

Ongoing Investigation

The North Charleston Police Department is continuing its investigation into the shooting incident. The motive behind the shootout and the relationship between the suspects remain under scrutiny.
