Colombian artist Mauricio Masáre is stepping into the spotlight with his debut band, Erode the Dream, and an exciting new EP titled “Neon Nightmares” set for release on January 11. Masáre kicked off his journey in Pereira, Colombia, where he soaked in the sounds of influential figures like James Hetfield, Chris Cornell, and Jerry Cantrell. And so, through jam sessions with an impressive lineup of fellow musicians—bassist Robbie Weise, drummer Steven Wilson, and guitarists Ryan Martin and Jon Stout—Erode the Dream was born. The chemistry among the band members is palpable, and it shines through in their sound. Drawing inspiration from the early ’90s Seattle rock scene, their music boasts a powerful dual guitar attack that is sure to energize listeners.
The upcoming EP, “Neon Nightmares”, features five gripping tracks that showcase Masáre’s dynamic vocal range.
