The woman, later identified as Rivera’s mother, was found to be laying in her own excrement, with law enforcement stating she had been in that state for approximately four weeks. Disturbingly, it was revealed that a medical professional had not examined her in approximately eight months.

The elderly woman appeared to be heavily malnourished and was taken to the hospital by EMS personnel.
