First ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Opens in South Carolina

A New Destination for Long-Term Travel

The first in a promising line of extended stay accommodations, ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham celebrated its grand opening in Spartanburg, South Carolina this week. Tailored to meet the needs of the business traveler or long-haul vacationer, this location fits perfectly amidst an influx of major infrastructure projects in the region, making it a prime location for construction workers, traveling nurses, or digital nomads on the move.

Mandeep Singh, renowned for his 20 plus years of global experience in corporate housing and serviced apartments, has joined Wyndham to oversee the successful rollout and future expansion of the ECHO Suites brand. With potential openings in Texas and Virginia on the horizon, the extended stay hotel market is set for a rejuvenation.

Practical and Efficient Accommodation for the Modern Traveler

The grand opening of ECHO Suites Spartanburg marks a significant milestone in the growth of the brand with an impressive development pipeline of nearly 270 hotels and over 33,000 rooms across U.S. and Canada. Designed to be both compact and efficient, the 124-room innovation requires less than two acres land but still manages to offer around 79% of revenue generating square footage.

The well-thought room plan includes single- and double-queen studio suites, each equipped with a kitchen. In addition, thoughtfully designed public amenities such as a lobby, fitness center, and a 24/7 open guest laundry form an integral part of the house, reducing labor needs and adding to the overall efficiency of the establishment.

An Ideal Fit for Infrastructure Growth

The opening of the ECHO Suites aligns perfectly with large-scale infrastructure projects taking shape across the U.S. The area is set to witness a major uplift following the implementation of the 2021 Infrastructure and Jobs Act, carrying a whopping $1.2 trillion package, the largest in the nation’s history.

Equally important is the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, which has attracted $280 billion in funding aimed at constructing new chip manufacturing plants across the U.S. These development initiatives are a boon for Wyndham and travelling trade workers looking for a home away from home.

The Future of Extended Stay Hotels

As part of the company’s bid to be a leader in the ever-growing extended stay segment, Wyndham has enlisted the expertise of Mandeep Singh as the new vice president of Extended Stay Operations. In his new role, Singh will lead the expansion of Wyndham’s extended-stay portfolio with a keen focus on growing the ECHO Suites and Waterwalk Extended Stay brands.

With its strategic positioning in the extended stay market, Wyndham is surely poised to make a striking impression with the unrolling of the ECHO Suites. This innovative approach to extended stay accommodation provides an exciting development in the industry and a valuable new offer for today’s everyday traveler.
