Hey there, Charleston! Get ready for a bustling Monday as thousands of local students flock to the College of Charleston’s TD Arena this week. If you plan on being in the area, you’ll want to take note of what’s happening, as there’s bound to be some traffic congestion.
Starting at 8:30 a.m. and lasting until around 2 p.m., over 4,000 high school and middle school students will be descending on the arena for a special event—it’s not just any ordinary day. These eager students are gearing up for the College of Charleston Women’s Basketball game, which is scheduled to tip-off at 11:30 a.m.. Can you feel the excitement?
As the buses roll in to unload students at the TD Arena, one lane in front of the venue will be closed off to accommodate the influx of energetic youngsters. So, if you’re driving in the area, be prepared for some delays and plan your trip accordingly. The buses will start arriving as early as 8:30 a.m., and they’ll continue to bring in students up until the game starts, and then they’ll return to load them back up after the game concludes, around 2 p.m.!
Now, don’t fret about the chaos of kids and buses. Local police will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly, assisting with safely unloading and loading the students. It’s great to know that our first responders are on hand to keep the traffic under control and ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved!
This event is fantastic for the College of Charleston and brings a great vibe to the neighborhood. It’s also a marvelous opportunity for high school students to engage with college activities and spark a little inspiration for their future! So whether you’re a parent, a student, or just someone who enjoys this lively atmosphere, it’s bound to be a thrilling day.
While you’re in the spirit of school events, keep your calendars marked! Alongside the buzz of the basketball game, remember to buckle up for the upcoming holiday season as local businesses ramp up their festive offerings. Speaking of which, for all coffee lovers out there, you won’t want to miss out on Starbucks rolling out its annual holiday menu starting November 7. Don’t let the winter blues get you down; embrace a cozy drink while you wait for that holiday cheer!
Also, as temperatures dip and winter approaches, let’s not forget our furry friends. Pets need a little extra TLC during these colder months, so be sure you’re prepared to keep them warm and comfy as the temperatures drop.
So Charleston, remain patient during the traffic changes and enjoy the spirited atmosphere at the College of Charleston! With over 4,000 students cheering on their team, it’s sure to be a lively day filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.
