The College of Charleston women’s basketball team put on a commanding performance as they overpowered the UNCW Seahawks in a 97-59 victory on Sunday afternoon at Trask Coliseum.
The Cougars wasted no time asserting their dominance, opening the game with a blistering 10-0 run that set the tone for the rest of the match. The lead they established early on was never relinquished, showcasing their control from start to finish.
Leading the charge for the Cougars was Jenna Annecchiarico, who poured in 26 points while also contributing six rebounds and four assists. Her stellar performance was indicative of her leadership on the court and her ability to impact the game on both ends.
Alexis Andrews also had a notable game, tallying 15 points to push her career total over the 500-point mark. She showcased her scoring prowess with seven points coming from beyond the arc, further solidifying her importance to the team.

With the win, College of Charleston extends their winning streak to six out of the last seven games, solidifying their third-place position in conference play. The team will now head north for their next set of games, facing off against Hofstra before a rematch with Monmouth.
