Remembering Our Community Members

We’ve lost some familiar faces, with notable individuals from our community taking their final bows. Among them, we mourn 88-year-old George Francis Buero from Charleston, who left us this past Sunday. His arrangements are being handled by the James A. McAlister Funeral Home.

Also, 90-year-old Kenneth C. Childress from North Charleston has passed away, with arrangements managed by McAlister-Smith’s Goose Creek Chapel. It’s always difficult bidding farewell to those who have been a part of our lives.

Let’s not forget 87-year-old Bill McKenzie of Charleston and 86-year-old Else D. McNally, both of whom passed away on Saturday. Their futures have been entrusted to Stuhr’s Mount Pleasant Chapel and McAlister-Smith’s James Island Chapel, respectively.

We also share our thoughts with the friends and family of 78-year-old Robert Joseph Murphy Jr. from Mount Pleasant and the late Trellis Etta Nettles, aged 84, of Mount Pleasant who both passed on Sunday. Their arrangements have been entrusted to Stuhr’s Downtown Chapel and Stuhr’s Mount Pleasant Chapel.

More Heartfelt Goodbyes

In our community, we remember 69-year-old Joseph M. Criscione and 65-year-old Susan Kimberly Croy, who both passed on Friday and Sunday respectively. Their arrangements are being taken care of by McAlister-Smith’s Goose Creek Chapel and Parks Funeral Home.

And let’s spare a thought for the families of the beloved 97-year-old Doris Brown Ryan and 80-year-old Edward Young, both of Moncks Corner, who passed away over the weekend. Arrangements are being made by Dial-Murray Funeral Home and Gethers Funeral Home, showcasing the importance of honoring those who’ve shaped our lives.
