The food scene in Charleston, South Carolina, is about to get more exciting as Chick N Max, a Kansas-based chicken sandwich restaurant, announced its plans to nest in the region. As the self-proclaimed “Home of the Better Chicken Sandwich,” Chick N Max intends to build seven locations in the metro area, generating approximately 175 job opportunities in the local community.
Presently, specific locations for the seven proposed restaurants have not been disclosed, but the company aims to establish three outlets in Charleston, and two each in North Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Jeff Frahm, Chick N Max’s Vice President of Franchise Sales and Development, expressed that such southeastern markets like the Tri-County Area already have a thriving fast-casual chicken restaurant market. By entering the Charleston area, Chick N Max aims to capture a significant market share and cement its strong presence.
Chick N Max boasts a lineup of 10 unique flavors of chef-crafted sandwiches, which are made with either almond wood-smoked pulled chicken or crispy golden-fried tenders. Alongside the primary offerings, customers can choose from an array of home-style sides: fries, onion rings, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and smoked white beans. There will also be 11 daily-prepared sauces to accompany these dishes. Frahm added that their menu, featuring the latest food trends, delivers a unique and delightful experience for even the most discerning diners.
The new Chick N Max locations will offer indoor and outdoor seating arrangements and include a drive-thru, a curbside pickup, and a take-out counter. To facilitate a smooth and efficient customer experience, each outlet will be equipped with digital menu boards and GPS-enabled curbside pickups facilitated through their mobile application.
Before breaking ground in Charleston, Chick N Max is on the lookout for individuals interested in becoming a franchisee. They announced that the total investment to open a Chick N Max restaurant, including a franchise fee of $35,000, would range between $650,000 to $2,500,000.
Beyond the Charleston Metro, Chick N Max has disclosed plans to expand into other South Carolina markets. These include locations such as Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head Island, and Bluffton.
