Clark joins the Charleston team from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he played a pivotal role as the Director of Operations for the women’s basketball team for two seasons. Additionally, he spent one season as the Special Assistant Coach, contributing to the team’s success in winning back-to-back Southern Conference titles and securing berths in the NCAA Tournament. His impressive track record at UTC, with an overall record of 48-18, highlights his expertise in guard play and recruiting operations.
Prior to his time at UTC, Clark served as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball program at Wheeling University in West Virginia. During his tenure at Wheeling, he coached Lilly Ritz, the leading Division II rebounder, showcasing his ability to develop and nurture talent on the court. Clark also pursued his MBA in Business Administration while at Wheeling University, demonstrating his commitment to both coaching and personal growth.
Originally from Ohio, Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education from Bowling Green University. Currently residing in Summerville, S.C., with his wife Emily, daughter Ellie Ray, and two golden retrievers, Bowen & Miles, Clark brings a diverse background and a passion for basketball to the College of Charleston women’s basketball team.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new addition to the coaching staff, Coach Harmony commented, “We are excited to add Coach Clark to our women’s basketball staff.
