Start your Saturday bright and early at the Lowcountry Heart Walk happening at the RiverDogs Stadium on Fishburne Street. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 9 a.m. This event is not just a lovely walk but a way to raise funds and awareness for those affected by heart disease. Participants are encouraged to set up their own fundraisers, whether solo or in groups, making it a great opportunity to rally family and friends for a worthy cause. So lace up those walking shoes and prepare to make some heart-healthy strides!
If you love oysters, then the Cork Shuckin’ Festival at Deep Water Vineyard should be your next stop! From 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., indulge in locally sourced oysters drizzled with all your favorite sauces. Pair your oysters with the sounds of live music featuring Calhoun’s Calling and Jah Creation, and you’re in for a real treat. Tickets for buckets of oysters cost $18, and parking is an additional $10 per vehicle. The vibe will be fun, perfect for a leisurely Saturday with friends!
Comic fans will definitely want to head over to the Captain’s Comic Expo held at the Omar Shrine Temple this Saturday and Sunday.
