Hill House Home, Designer of The Nap Dress, Opens Fashionable Charleston Store

In a significant move that fashion enthusiasts will appreciate, Hill House Home – a nationally recognized fashion and lifestyle brand – has officially opened a new Charleston store. Known for its popular product, the Nap Dress, this store is situated at 145 King St., cornering King and Queen streets. This flagship store in Charleston stands out as the brand’s largest store to date and marks their fourth opening after successful establishments in New York City, Palm Beach, Fla., and Nantucket.

Also of note, Hill House Home’s later part of the year will witness them opening another location in Dallas. The Charleston store, however, has something unique to offer: their first hospitality venture named Nell’s. This initiative is named after the founder and CEO of Hill House, Nell Diamond. As part of this venture, the store will house an old school drink station serving both coffee and soda. The establishment would also feature a Pick ‘n Mix candy wall, providing customers with a sweet side to their shopping endeavor.

Hill House Home’s Expanding Portfolio

While the Nap Dress has been a staunch favorite among product offerings, Hill House Home has ventured into numerous other clothing categories. Ready-to-wear, swimwear, accessories, and sleepwear are parts of their growing fashion collection. Their Start in home products continues still as the brand also presents offerings across bedding, bath, and baby items.

Speaking about this exciting new store opening, CEO Nell Diamond mentioned, “We are thrilled to open Hill House Home in Charleston, an incredible destination that I have always loved to visit. We partnered with Amanda Lindroth to design the space, which is our biggest location yet. We’re so excited to welcome visitors to shop and to enjoy Nell’s.”

About The Store Design

Amanda Lindroth, known for her design work on Hill House’s Palm Beach store, is the creative mind behind the Charleston location’s design. Her design inspiration was to create a clean, classic, and feminine space while incorporating traditional architectural elements that Charleston is known for.

The Charleston location stands out not just in terms of physical size but also due to its unique offerings. Its size is almost three times that of any current Hill House retail store. The inclusion of Nell’s, a food and beverage concept featuring an old school coffee and soda bar, pushes the boundaries further. This initiative, formed in partnership with Coca Cola and La Colombe, offers a new aspect to retail experience. Complementing this feature, the store also possesses a Pick ‘n’ Mix candy wall that provides a variety of British candies, a nostalgic touch harking back to Nell’s childhood in London.

Hill House Home’s Journey

Starting their journey in 2016 with bedding, Hill House Home has incrementally added to their offerings with categories like footwear, accessories, children’s items, wallpaper, and more. This expansion and their continuous strive for innovative offerings have made Hill House Home’s newest store not just the largest in their portfolio but also an engaging and vibrant shopping destination. With the promise of Nap Dress and so much more, the store is ready to welcome fashion enthusiasts with its varied offerings and engaging shopping experience.
