Charleston Prepares for the Opening of Tutti Pizza, Bringing New York-Style Slices to Upper King Street

Charleston’s Culinary Scene Welcomes a Slice of New York: Tutti Pizza Set to Open

Charleston is buzzing with excitement as Tutti Pizza is gearing up to open its doors next to Graft Wine Shop on Upper King Street in February 2025. This vibrant new venture is the brainchild of local wine aficionados Femi Oyediran and Miles White, who are joining forces with renowned North Carolina pizza chef Anthony Guerra to bring a slice of New York-style goodness to our charming city.

A Match Made in Pizza Heaven

What’s in a name, you ask? Well, Tutti, a term meaning all or together in music, perfectly captures the essence of this eatery where passionate voices and ingredients will come together in harmony. With a focus on 18-inch New York-style pies, diners can expect a fun twist featuring Sicily-inspired square slices, all with a delightful crispy crust.

Guerra, who has earned a reputation for his culinary creations at Oakwood Pizza Box in Raleigh, N.C., will lead the kitchen. As a New Yorker by upbringing, Guerra is inspired by the legendary pizzerias like Di Fara and Umberto’s that he frequented as a kid. His obsession with the craft means that Charleston is in for a treat!

The Pizza Experience

So, what can eager pizza lovers expect when they visit Tutti? The restaurant is set to serve signature circular pies topped with all the classics, plus Guerra’s popular gluten-free option, which has seen remarkable success in Raleigh—over 100 orders weekly! If this is any indication, you’ll want to be among the first to try it out.

With under 30 seats for dine-in, Tutti Pizza is prioritizing takeout, which gives you the perfect excuse for a cozy night in with a shareable pizza and a bottle of wine from next door. And, speaking of wine, you can look forward to special tasting events in a private back room, where guests can deepen their knowledge of wine pairing—because what’s better than enjoying pizza with a fantastic glass of vino?

The Journey Begins

Oyediran and White, who successfully opened Graft Wine Shop in 2018, weren’t even in the market for another restaurant until they saw the opportunity to take over the 700 King St. space from an architecture firm last year. After months of deliberation and discussions with Guerra, they decided to pivot and create something beautiful that brings value to the community.

Guerra, who carries with him a wealth of experience from his days making pizzas at his father’s restaurant Bella Mia, has been dreaming of opening a location in the Lowcountry for years. With his wife Brett and their three children planning to split time between Charleston and Raleigh, the excitement only grows for this new culinary chapter.

Creating a Culinary Community

One thing is for certain: Tutti Pizza aims to add flavor and choice to Charleston’s evolving food scene. As White puts it, “I love how creative and nice things have gotten in Charleston,” and they seek to offer a more affordable, approachable pizza experience to compliment the current options around town.

Whether you’re a pizza enthusiast or simply looking for an evening out, Tutti Pizza is bound to satisfy those cravings. Don’t forget to follow them on Instagram @tuttichs for updates and sneak peeks as they make their grand opening plans come to life!

So mark your calendars and get ready to indulge in the deliciously dynamic world of Tutti Pizza. The countdown to pizza magic has officially begun!
