Charleston Artist Designs Logo For Pet Fest and Supports Local Animal Shelters

Charleston’s Famed Artist Designs Logo For Pet Fest

Charleston, S.C. is all abuzz, thanks to the heartwarming local story that combines community, art, and love for animals. An acclaimed Charleston-based artist, Rebecca Meixner, has designed an exclusive piece for this year’s upcoming Pet Fest, leaving the community excited and eager for the event.

Unveiling a Custom Design for A Good Cause

The Pet Fest, part of News 2’s annual Clear the Shelter campaign, is scheduled for Saturday, August 31 at the remarkable venue, The Wonderer. The event aims at fundraising for local animal shelters while also finding forever homes for cats and dogs in the region.

The plan to concoct a Pet Fest merchandise collection was where Meixner stepped in with her benevolent heart. She has volunteered her time to design an exclusive piece to symbolize the event, with all funds from sales going towards supporting the participating animal shelters.

About the Artist

Meixner is known for her unique watercolor creations, inspired by the picturesque views of the Lowcountry. Her works are largely available in her permanent storefront situated inside the historic Mills House in the heart of downtown Charleston. Furthermore, her art reaches global audiences through charming boutique networks and significant retail outlets.

Giving back to Charleston is somewhat of an inherent passion for Meixner, making her partnership with Pet Fest a natural fit.

“I am also really passionate about giving back which is why I am excited to be partnering with you, on this project. This is a really cool community pet project,” she expressed.

Meixner believes that her involvement with Pet Fest resonates with her love for art and community outreach. “Helping out with this is really just a natural extension of my love of art and community. Bringing people together is my thing, I am all about spreading joy, one piece of art at a time,” she added.

Fundraising Through Art

T-shirts featuring Rebecca’s design will be on display and for sale during the event. With a donation of $25, visitors can walk away with one of these unique pieces while contributing to a worthy cause. As the stock is limited, pet lovers across Charleston are urged to mark their calendars and not miss out on the special event.

Looking Forward to Pet Fest

Guided by a mission to support local animal shelters and provide forever homes for needy animals, the 2024 Pet Fest is steering up immense anticipation in Charleston. This excitement continues to amplify with the reveal of the unique Pet Fest logo, adding an entirely new artistic dimension to the event.

Everyone involved, including the spirited Charleston community, the dedicated organizers, and the generous artist Rebecca Meixner, is enthusiastically looking forward to the Pet Fest. Their collective hope is to break records, raise substantial funds, and extend the warmth of a loving home to as many cats and dogs as possible.
