In the historic city of Charleston, The Charleston Museum is drawing its successful Historic Cocktail and Spirits Series to a close. The final event of the series, gleaming with high anticipation, is a beer workshop set to unravel the secrets of beer crafting. Slated for Thursday, July 18th, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, this concluding installment of the series is expected to serve a unique blend of entertainment, education, and taste exploration.
Taking center stage in running this workshop are the knowledgeable curators of the Museum and representatives from Holy City Brewing. Attendees will be enlightened about the intricate science of crafting beers, the brewing process, and perhaps most importantly, understanding the different notes and tastes of various beer batches. Representatives from Holy City Brewing will escort the guests through a carefully curated tasting journey, broadening their beer palate, and deepening their appreciation of this widely favoured beverage.
However, the workshop is not solely about beer. As part of the Historic Cocktail and Spirits Series, it also seeks to highlight the significant influence beers have had on the history of Charleston. Attendees will get an exclusive look at some of the Museum’s History and Archaeology collections that are not usually on public exhibition — a definite treat for history enthusiasts.
Tickets to the beer workshop are all-inclusive and cover an array of benefits. Notably, guests can expect to participate in four beer tastings. They will also be served a full serving of beer and have access to select light bites. In addition, participants will receive swag from Holy City Brewing, providing a memorable takeaway from an evening of fun and learning.
Beyond the food and drinks, ticket holders will also gain access to a wealth of knowledge from Museum curators and Holy City Brewing representatives. This is sure to enhance their beer drinking experience with the rich history and background behind the craft.
The event is exclusive to individuals aged 21 years and above, emphasizing responsible drinking. Prospective attendees are reminded that reservations are required and can be made online or by calling 843-722-2996 ext. 235, guaranteeing a spot in this unique blend of historic and beer-oriented discovery.
