“After spending the day with these environmental champions, I attest that the tasks they carry out regularly are quite challenging. I encourage all Charleston residents to show their appreciation to these city workers whenever they come across them,” said Mayor Cogswell.

Mayor’s Discussion With Deputy Director of Public Service

In his ongoing pursuit to immerse himself in the city’s workings, Mayor Cogswell met with Matt Alltop, the Deputy Director of Public Service in Charleston. The meeting’s primary focus was the discussion of a novel application, CHS Trashtracker. This invention aims to streamline residents’ interaction with the city’s environmental administration.

CHS Trashtracker: A Revolutionary App for City of Charleston Residents

CHS Trashtracker, as the new app is named, is set to offer a platform for city dwellers to effortlessly access crucial environmental information. The issues residents can report on the application encompass a wide range of challenges, including graffiti on the streets, missed collections, malfunctioning street lights, litter heaps, and potholes on the roadways. By mitigating the distance between the city residents and the municipal authorities, CHS Trashtracker aims to present an open dialogue platform for problem-solving.
