Charleston high school basketball teams compete in playoffs

The Lowcountry high school basketball playoffs took place on February 26th, with several teams from Charleston facing off in intense matchups.

Boys Basketball 1A – Lower State Finals

In the Boys Basketball 1A Lower State Finals, the Cross High School team went head-to-head against Bethune-Bowman. The game was a close battle, but unfortunately, the Cross Trojans fell short with a final score of Bethune-Bowman 53, Cross 43. The Trojans’ season comes to an end with a commendable record of 23-6.

Girls Basketball 1A – Lower State Finals

On the girls’ side, the Military Magnet Eagles took on Lake View in the 1A Lower State Finals. The Eagles put up a strong effort, but Lake View ultimately emerged victorious with a final score of 52-46. The Military Magnet girls finish the season with a record of 22-7, showcasing their dedication and skill throughout the playoffs.

Exciting matchups and impressive performances

The high school basketball playoffs have been filled with thrilling moments and impressive displays of talent from teams across the Lowcountry. While some teams have seen their seasons come to a close, the competitive spirit and sportsmanship exhibited by all the players have been truly inspiring.
