Family and Friends in Mourning

Lizzy’s uncle, Peter Zito, expressed the family’s devastation at the horrific news. In a heart-wrenching message, he said, “I love you Lizzy. I’m going to miss you. We’re all going to miss you. Rest in peace my baby, my niece”. Peter labeled the act as murder, stating, “They were murdered because they were hit, and they were left there to die”. These words echoed the grief and anger of a family in mourning, pleading for justice.

The fatal accident occurred on Morrison Drive between Cooper and Harris Streets where construction efforts are presently ongoing. In the aftermath of the horrific incident, local residents voice concerns over road safety in the area. Edward Marion, a neighborhood local and frequent biker, mentioned how the growing city and increasing numbers of tourists may contribute to the negligence of traffic rules and signage, thereby amplifying safety risks.
