Charleston’s Flavorful Affair: 12th Annual Food Truck Festival on March 1-2!

Get ready, Charleston! The 12th Annual Charleston Food Truck Festival (CFTF) is rolling into town on March 1 and 2, and it promises to be a feast you won’t forget! From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, food lovers will gather at Building 64, located at 2301 Noisette Blvd. in North Charleston, to enjoy an array of culinary delights offered by over 30 food trucks from South Carolina and Georgia.

Delicious Trucks Await!

This year’s festival is a serious treat for your taste buds! Coming from both near and far, many local favorites will be in the mix. Food truck enthusiasts can feast their eyes (and stomachs) on trucks like Dave’s Smoke & Tacos, Lola’s Lumpia, The Pita Stroller, My Big Fat Greek Trailer, and Area 51 Foods. Every type of cuisine you can dream of will be available, making it an event that’s sure to cater to all tastes!

Raise a Glass!

But that’s not all! The festival also features four enticing bar areas serving a delightful variety of beverages. Attendees can sip on cocktails, beer, CBD beverages, and plenty of nonalcoholic drink options. Whether you’re feeling like a refreshing beer or a creative cocktail, the festival has something for everyone!

Fun for Everyone

This year, the festivities will include an array of local vendors showcasing their crafts and products. Plus, there will be exciting carnival rides to enjoy, making it a fun-filled day for the entire family. And let’s not forget about the live performances that will set the perfect atmosphere for enjoying the delicious food and drinks!

A Rich History of Flavor

Did you know that the very first CFTF back in 2011 featured just five humble food trucks on Spring Street? Fast forward to today, and this festival has taken off, showcasing the best of local and regional food trucks. It’s a testament to the vibrant food culture that Charleston has nurtured over the years. The festival has become a beloved event that draws in everyone looking to indulge in great flavors!

Contributing to a Worthy Cause

In a lovely twist, this year’s bar sales will support The Livity Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to making a positive social impact in the community. Not only will you be treating yourself, but you’ll also be helping out a good cause!

Mark Your Calendars: The Black Food Truck Festival is Coming!

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, mark your calendars for another exciting foodie event—the Black Food Truck Festival is scheduled for April 25 through April 27. This festival will showcase more than 40 food trucks featuring delicious Black American soul food, West African specialties, and a rich array of cultural activities. It promises to have family-friendly fun and live music that will keep everyone entertained!

The impact of such events on the local economy is significant too, with the Black Food Truck Festival alone projected to bring in over $10.3 million this year. The festival not only brings delectable food but also serves as a vibrant hub for community connections, arts, and culture.

Additional Attractions

Both the Charleston Food Truck Festival and the Black Food Truck Festival welcome families and pets. Expect to find craft artisans, games, lounging areas, and lots of fun for everyone involved. And if you plan to attend the Black Food Truck Festival, be sure to grab your tickets soon, as early bird pricing is available through February.

Whether you’re a die-hard foodie or just looking for a weekend filled with excitement and joy, these festivals are the place to be! Delicious food, delightful drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere await you in Charleston during these two events! So grab your friends, your family, and your appetite, and get ready for a memorable time!
