Hosted on every first Friday of the month from May to December, the market will be held on July 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. The marketplace will display the produce and products of local vendors, food trucks, craft artisans, and musicians. In addition, there will be fun lawn games, kids’ activities, and more. Be sure to bring along a lawn chair, water, and your pets. Entry is free.

Cherokees in the Revolutionary Era Discussion

Dive into the intriguing past with a discussion on ‘Cherokees in the Revolutionary Era’ scheduled for July 7. The event is sponsored by South Carolina Humanities and is free to attend but requires advance registration.

Cafe Society Open Mic Night

Held on July 10 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event invites guests with a three to five-minute story, poem, song, or performance on the theme of ‘passages’ – a rite of passage, a physical migration, or any other crossing.

Kid Tours: Wriggling Reptiles

Engage your kids in an exploration of nature with ‘Kid Tours: Wriggling Reptiles’. The event, to be held on July 10 at 3:30 p.m., will showcase fascinating reptiles from the collection of The Charleston Museum. Kids can also indulge in crafts, creating their own silly snakes. This tour is part of a series designed to highlight artifacts from the museum’s collection that have fascinated children for years. Entry is free with admission.
