The 17th Annual Captain’s Comic Expo is set to rock the Omar Shrine Center on February 22 and 23. With over 135 tables filled with comics, original artwork, and incredible cosplays, this event promises a fantastic weekend. Join fellow fans on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The guest list is epic, featuring the talented Kat Cressida, the voice of Jessie from Toy Story, and Anthony Marques, known for his work on Batman: The Audio Drama. Don’t forget to snag your tickets, starting at just $20.

Oysters Galore with Big Brothers, Big Sisters

Annual Oyster Roast hosted by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Lowcountry is happening on February 22 from noon to 3 p.m. at Bohemian Bull on James Island. For just $35 if you buy in advance or $45 on the day, you’ll get to indulge in all the tasty oysters your heart desires. Plus, it’s all for a great cause!

Starting on February 22, Bulldog Tours will offer enlightening tours every Saturday focusing on the African American experience in Charleston. Folly Beach: An Art Lover’s Paradise

33rd Annual Folly Beach Art & Craft Festival will showcase over 80 local artists, musicians, and vendors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Enjoy a relaxing day by the beach featuring a surfboard-painting contest and activities for the kids. Admission is free for residents and just $10 for the general public ($15 on the day of the event).
