Charleston County Sheriff’s Office to Host Multi-Day Recruitment Event

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has recently announced its plans to host two one-stop-shop recruitment events. Scheduled for Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, the events are set to offer potential applicants the opportunity to complete required qualifications for employment at the CCSO.

Registration details and testing process

Pre-registrations are currently being accepted although same-day registrations would also be welcomed. Registration desks are to be located in the lobby of the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center. Interested candidates are expected to attend before close of registration which is slated for Monday, July 15, 2024.

Applicants attending the event will have to undergo numerous examinations and evaluations. These include the Nelson-Denny Reading Test and the Physical Ability Test (PAT) as well as a polygraph test. Upon successful completion of the preliminary assessments, the applicants will then partake in an interview session with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office leaders.
